Antarctica Bound

Well this should be a little different. Instead of heading south for warm climates and tropical breezes, we are heading south for more of what we North Americans call.......brrrrr....... winter. After our flight from Montreal to Panama City, we will continue on our 15 hour journey to Buenos Aires. Following a couple of recuperation days from the flight and experiencing the food, wines and culture of BA, we will meet up with our fellow group of explorers and a flight to Ushuaia on the southern tip of Argentina. There, we will embark on our small Norwegian Nordic explorer ship the MS Fram. Our two week voyage will take us across the Drake Passage to Antarctica for four days of exploration. The return trip will lead us back across the passage to the southern most point in South America, Cape Horn, before we set sail north through the Fjords of Chile and Patagonia to our final destination of Santiago, Chile. Hopefully you will find time to travel along with us and I will attempt, (provided we have the cooperation of Wifi and internet connections) to keep you enticed with pictures and narrative as we embark on what will be a memorable discovery. If I have managed to pique your interest, scroll down a little further for a few pictures of what we hope to experience. Salud!!

  3. No umbrella in Jenn's drink so this sojourn can't be classified as a 'Bucket List' entry....;-)
